All Mad Science after-school programs come with take home toys that reinforces the educational concepts taught in each class!
In this program, children overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and most important of all – their minds. With a little bit of ingenuity, children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home, and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.
This program features fun-filled, hands-on, secret agent themed science activities that allow kids to play detective, explore forensic science, sharpen their surveillance skills, and crack encrypted messages.
I am an Education Coordinator at a summer camp and we thought we would give Mad Science a try. They were prompt in returning my phone call and making the reservation was very easy. Our group ranges from 5-12 years old and I was a little a worried if they would be able to keep all the children engaged. Danbee was our Mad Scientist that came and she was so awesome with our group! All 15 of our children were engaged the ENTIRE time and were really motivated to invent! Danbee was very active and animated with our children and also very intelligent(she is working on her Ph.D.). I will definately be using Mad Science again in the near future. Thank you for a great workshop!!!!
My 6 year old grandson attended your Mad Science Summer Camp. I was more than pleased with the program. You had planned activities with practical applications of various areas of science that were engaging and informative. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it was money and time well spent. He said before the camp that we wanted to be a scientist. It has been reinforced by the fun, learning experience. Thank you.
My 6-year old son took "Crime Scene and Chemistry" last summer and he loved it. He was looking forward to going to the camp everyday and enjoyed making various colorful, fun items, which taught him lots of important things such as the structure of DNA and cellular structure. It was indeed fun and educational experience. Teachers were very nice and helpful. He wants to go to Mad Science camp again next summer.
